Theory of Involution and Evolution
Is Consciousness an emergent phenomenon of the brain?
Materialists say consciousness is an emergent property of the brain. It develops as we rise up from biology to having a human brain. As Kafatos, Tanzi, Chopra stated, that’s like saying table salt, as ions in the body, suddenly learn to think, feel, and reason.

On the other hand, panpsychism states that everything is conscious – a rock, a tree, the stars. However, as someone asked, have we just moved the miracle?

The Vedic Theory of Involution and Evolution also states that everything is conscious. It describes how consciousness comes into this material world and how it further evolves. This is a u-shaped process, rather than a pyramidal hierarchy.

However, in this theory, consciousness is a continuum, with a few major layers, or sheaths, called koshas.
Big “C” Consciousness, SatChitAnanda, or Universal or Primordial Consciousness involutes through the koshas to become an atom, an “anu” of physical matter. To involute is to spiral into, as used in biology for a leaf that curls in on itself. Its as if this grand mist of Consciousness spirals smaller and smaller until the whole of the world’s Consciousness swirls into and is contained within this indivisible bit of matter. [Perhaps this is the reason for all the counterintuitive properties of quantum mechanics.]

Evolution then progresses on two axes. The horizontal axis represents the gross physical kosha. On this level is all that we can quantify and follows in line with mainstream science.

Physics becomes chemistry becomes biology etc. However, there is a pretty big step up in consciousness with the biological cell. Here, prana enters, and life begins. As Rupert Sheldrake reminded us, “even a single-celled amoeba knows to move toward food and away from prey”. This is a significant step up in consciousness from chemical interactions.

On the vertical axis, is shown the evolution of consciousness, from plants to lizards, to mammals, to humans, as brains and Mind evolve. Maybe even there is some Wisdom and Bliss around us.

Scientists in the biofield and consciousness arena often state that we can exchange mass or matter with energy and information and consciousness.
Consciousness as Stepped Continuum
The above diagrams depict that consciousness is a continuum. One major step on this continuum occurs when life begins with the biological cell. For most consciousness researchers, the major step takes place with the brain, and in particular the human brain. [The implications of a recent article that crows may be self-aware are yet to be fully worked out.]
Trees are now known to communicate via their roots and the vast fungi network. The network can distribute nutrients to both individual trees of the same species and with other plants in the network. And a single-celled amoeba can move toward food and away from prey. This is a decision-making ability that implies more awareness than structured water that aligns based on its electrical charge. Some have called it “living” water as it moves, yet, to me, that is at the edge of chemistry, not yet biology. Dissipative systems as Ilya Prigogine made us aware, also move one closer to biology without crossing into it. The classic example is of the Belousov-Zhabotinski reaction than can continue to move for some time on its own.

If neutrinos are associated with the prana body, then there would be expected to be another spiritual anu associated with the Mind body and an even less dense, finer spiritual anu associated with the Wisdom body and the Bliss body, according to the TIE. Are these completely massless neutrinos or something not yet known or imagined in our Western Science?
Scalability
Consciousness here is considered to be scalable like coherence domains discussed by Marco Bishcof and Emilio del Guidici and others. They and others have shown that the coherence domain is scalable. Molecules become coherent, then organs, become coherent. Indeed, the organs become coherent on the schedule predicted by Oriental medicine with respect to time of day of activation. Our whole body has its circadian rhythm. Energy medicine practitioners are taught to entrain their system to higher coherence with various practices and meditation techniques.
So, if there is a bioneutrino field around a single cell, then there would be a larger field around an organ, and a larger field around the entire organism. The brain’s neural networks, especially when activated by energy practices, would be expected to also have a greater BNF, as would the heart doing heart-centered techniques.
So, a test of prana-associated bioneutrino fields at the level of an entire organism, such as in healing, would be expected to offer the largest field practicable to test.
Consciousness and Neutrinos

It is now possible to test neutrinos with the detector inside the Mobile Neutrino Lab.
